Van Meter’s FunZone is a Cornerstone extension program, staffed by volunteers who set up and lead games, activities and student enrichment at lunch time. It helps to offer every student a place where they can feel valued, known and welcomed, and emphasizes to our valuable students that they matter, and that caring adults are there for them.
We are always looking for parent volunteers to donate supplies and to run Music groups/singing, art workshops, classic boardgames, MIME, yoga/movement, frisbee, bubble factories and more. We have supplies for you to use, but Zones can also be held simply using bodies and minds.
Running Club will be back at Van Meter this year, and tucked under FunZone. Everyone is welcome!
All of these activities have been made possible by the generosity of Van Meter parents.
Parents and caregivers – you make all the difference. For more information in setting up/leading/tearing down lunchtime FZ activities, please contact: email@example.com Zones can be set up on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and parents are welcome to volunteer intermittently or on a weekly basis.
